New Project: Church becomes a place of play during the week

The fact is that the work started and we have already completed the skeleton thanks to free labor and materials that gave us now ask to you to support us in this new cutting edge design that makes that a church will also become house and that It goes to cover the Kema area, on the sea, in the village of fishermen Makalisung.

Now to buy bricks, concrete, and complete the church / house making even the toilets it still takes 50 million rupiah (about 3.500 EUR).

The Village of Kulu and her people

The Village of Kulu is very small city and positioned in a strategic location, situated on a bluff overlooking the ocean.

We went to the very poor village of Kulu, a few miles from where Likupang in Indonesia, from the promontory where lies this small town, you can enjoy this nice landscape, that makes you want to dive into the ocean from the distance.

Here we met the people in the church at the center of the town and where the welcome was warm and wanted to know our school and our Sunflower Association and they put their problems in our hands, looking at the sky and saying that God, help us and protect us.

Neymar, Rita and Isty

Today I present to you: Neymar (2 years) Isty (10 years old) with his mother Rita.

They are a very close family, the father works as a fisherman and his mother stays at home with the children and strives every day to sort and clean the church. 

Neymar is very lively and everything that the older sister is great, the repeats perfectly. 

The sister Isty attended elementary school and loves to read and do their homework, especially math.

Marcel a special people

Marcel and daughter Verencia

Marcel works on his uncle's small boat and he was really valuable for us. 

We did learn about all the smallest details of the island Batang Dua and concomitantly spent these ten unforgettable days. 

Marcel and is married with Leni and have a daughter Verencia two years. 

They live in a small wooden house and are busy in the church and in the community. 

He's a point of reference for all and are happy to present them and make them known to all.

Pentecostal Church of Batang Dua

Together you work for the church

Every Monday, the people of the island of Batang Dua stops throughout the day and offers his time to the church. 

If anyone has some work to do in his house to the church and pay for the day and they all work at the end of the day the person who has benefited from the work of the community to the church pay 300,000 rupiah. 

It works, singing, smiling and praying. 

A truly unique experience, which made ​​me think so much about the significance of providing their time and energy for each other.

The situation of our church

At this time we all live a delicate situation and we can even find it hard to donate or to reach out to others, because the work becomes less and less, and the money begins to fail, but I'm sure that when we are able to lend a hand to others, give a hand to ourselves. 

We have our church that leaks from the roof and when it rains it is impossible to find for ourselves and celebrate being together. 

We tried to quantify the price of the material (wood, bamboo , nails, sheet metal, iron), and the total is of €3100 $ 4650 for us is a rather high figure, and we're looking for someone who can help us, even if you can‘t, you make sure that those who have the possibility to receive our letter.

I want to help

I want to help

So many times I said to myself : I want to help someone, then I just stopped and I settled in to my offer or church or some association or who simply asked me to give him a hand.

Today I would say that if you want to help someone does not have to settle to solve its immediate problems, for example by offering money or food or clothing, but making sure to give the means to solve its problems by itself and return to see the situation. 

Do not forget that the real help is what you take to load up at the time when this can stand on their own legs. 

If everyone used this simple method of starting to help his neighbor, no man would be deprived of aid, while many times it help those who do not need or those who have so much already. 

The hands that know how to help are holier than lips that pray and then do not know how to turn their prayers in daily actions towards others.
