Day of Smiles for poor children

We would like to arrange to December 12, 2016 an unforgettable day, remembering the first year of the foundation of the free school of small, Paud Bunga Matahari in Airmadidi.

Children are our most precious treasure

If Providence us a hand the idea is to make a lunch with 300 people, 100 of whom are our school children, with competitions for all children.

I thought to football games, to the drawings and in the parade with costumes.

The day we want to start at 8:00 am with the transport bus at all with lots of green that you can see in the video that I put on You Tube.

This day we spend in the Paniki Sports Park, five minutes from Manado.

Lunch at 12:30, and we will follow the awards of all children with the delivery of a T-shirt with the name of the school, return at approximately 16.00

New Project: Church becomes a place of play during the week

To finish this project of the Church becomes a place of play and school for the kids during the week, it still takes around 3.500 Euro (50 million rupiah), ask for a help also to each of you, in union there is strength.

A few months ago I went to see my friend Meidy pastor of the Pentecostal Church of Makalisung and we talked about a new and innovative project (Church "Gereja" which will be transformed during the week in a meeting place, play and school for children) and we said, we leave and God willing, and will send us his Providence.

The fact is that the work started and we have already completed the skeleton thanks to free labor and materials that gave us now ask to you to support us in this new cutting edge design that makes that a church will also become house and that It goes to cover the Kema area, on the sea, in the village of fishermen Makalisung.

Now to buy bricks, concrete, and complete the church / house making even the toilets it still takes 50 million rupiah (about 3.500 EUR).

A little girl, Asmirandah, to help

Asmirandah Kowit Tang was born in Sarongsong I, Airmadidi September 18 of 2011 attends school every day and is very smart.

Julia Maria Longdong is alwais quiet and like look around, live in Kolongan, Kalawat, Minahasa Utara, Indonesia and attended the play group.

Julia borns at 28 July 2011, she lives with her mother: Youla Makalew as a Housewife and her father: Clary Longdong work as Security and now Julia go to school in a play group Baramuli (PAUD Baramuli) in Airmadidi.

Have two brother (15 years and 9 years) and one sister (13 years).

Julia have a idea for someday, she wants to be a Policewoman.

We have managed to finish off the septic reservoir

The Providence, continues to be neighbors to support our urgent work, to complete the school bathrooms in Airmadidi.

We finished the septic reservoir

An Italian family having seen in difficulty in the continuation of the school bathrooms, sent us an offering of 1,495,000 rupiah and immediately bought the material needed to complete the septic reservoir and buying:

6 bags of cement: 354,000 rupiah
4 iron rods: 112,000 rupiah
Sand and bricks: 990,000 rupiah
1 bucket of bricklayer 39,000 rupiah

To complete the work are missing 24,150,000 rupiah that is to say € 1,610.

New bathrooms in the school of Airmadidi

They started the work for the new bathrooms in the school of Airmadidi and we hope that Providence will help us.

They started the excavations

Many projects the  Sunflower Association has in a mind and several help arrived for our students as you have seen in the posts that we put.

Now add this urgent work:
On 22 August 2014 we started the excavation in the school of Airmadidi, to build two other bathrooms for our students.
The total will be 2200 euro, we can only rely on the Providence and hope that someone can give us a hand in order to achieve even this urgent work.
We are happy to share it with all of you who follow us and keep you informed on everything.

Indriani want to be a stewardess

A Indriani like going to school, but the family is very poor and the mother has trouble walking.

Indriani Makawata (Indri), live in Airmadidi Sarongsong II and she’s 8 yaers old, born on 11 Juli 2006.
Now she is a student on level 3 in a elementary school.
Some day, she wants to be a stewardess.
Indriani live with a family and she doesn’t have a sister or brother.
Mother is a housewife and has deform at the foot.
Father work in a camp and this picture is take when her father just return from the farm and he’s bringing a vegetable for give to her wife.
When have much material, he sales some vegetable to traditional market.The first day in the school, Indriani wants a new shoes and uniform for go to school, because is a family very poor and no can buy never.

Grandmother must be take many medicines

The grandmother Yuliana, is sick and must be take many medicines every day and now is very confused because don't have money.

Yuliana Dulumina, born in Lalong Island, Central of Sulawesi, Indonesia on 06 March 1937 and now she is 77 years old and lives is in Airmadidi. 

Grandmother Yuliana has two mans : Chris and Frans and two womens : Theresia and Cicilia.
The children had married and her husband was dead many times ago.
Grandmother Yuliana doesn’t have a work and she’s old and still sick.
She has diabetics and rheumatism.
Every month she goes to the hospital in the city for buy some medicines by herself.
The medicines is much expensive and should be take every day.
Her hoping if someday, there is someone who can help her to relieve the cost of treatment is very happy.

They had been 2,757,560 rupiah and Mr. Stefano Dentella and family have sent another offer of 5,200,000 rupiah for our children and the needs of the school.
We bought the play group in Airmadidi:

A project realized by the children

The ones you see in the picture from left to right are a group of children in our village in Airmadidi which together help to do the household chores, to help their families are very poor and they are: Sekly, David, Steven, Stella, Febry, Aten, Raja.
The initiative is started from Raja that involved his friends in this unique project, which sees them all involved and happy to be able to do something and get their little reward.
How many things do a children because looking we adults and is nice to see them with a smile and with determination and with a really big heart.

Aunt Hawa is sick

These days I watched the newspapers and internet and all speak of children killed and spin photos showing how man can be cruel.
Of course I did this little reflections, we sometimes use pictures of children just to get more visibility and instead believe that everyone should be touched in front of each face of a brother and all of this came to me today that one of our Aunt Hawa always available and attentive got sick.
The Sunflower Associaton support with food, medicines, we would like to take her to hospital, but we can not take even this expense and then we try to do our best not making him miss anything at home.
Aunt Hawa Sangadi is 58 years old, lives in our village in Sarongsong II Airmadidi and only helps a student and giving him the chance to get the room with lunch and dinner.

A piece of the wall is fallen

Really starts to be a truly great, including the construction of the school and the guest house for students in Airmadidi there is always some urgent work to do.
In fact, it happens that fall of the wall pieces, as you can see from the picture, or you have to paint or repair metal roofs because when there is strong wind that often yield the nails.
Meanwhile, the students are increasing in number and this makes us really happy to say that the work we are doing is giving its first results.
We thank Providence for the many things that gives us every day.

Riskila Tahumingge  is a child sweet girl 7 years old and is in a Level II in elementary school Airmadidi. 

Riskilla has one brother, his name Stefano 1 year and one sister her name Aprillia Paskawati, 13 years. 

Her mother: Yanse Manopo and father: Jeffry Tahumingge.

Her father work to carrying the passengers to the market with a motorcycle and mother is a housewife. 

Riskila has a dream about one day wants to be a policewoman. 

She is diligent goes to school.

These are the two new students entered our guest house, because they have a really problematic situation and the family cannot support them in their studies and now I present them:

Anggraeni Surpriadi. 18 years old now is a student in Baramuli Nursing Akademi (Akper Baramuli Airmadidi).
She has one Brother, his name is Andika 20 years old, student in a college and one sister, her name is Dava, 8 years old, is student in elementary school level IV.
In the past papa worked for built a new building but now he stay in the house because no have a project. Mother is a housewife.
Her name is Esther Navo and father is: Supriadi.

Anggraeni in a bedroom

Anggraeni wants to be a good nurse, this is a simple idea.
The other student is Lestari Tatambi, 19 years old and start ensamble in Baramuli Nursing Akademi (Akper Baramuli Airmadidi).
She has one brother.
His name is Kiki. 15 years old is studying in Yunior High School, level II.
Mother is Marlin Limonto and father is Tonny Tatambi.
In the past papa worked as a fisherman, but now father is sick and can stay only in the house.
Mother is a housewife.
Lestari wants to work in a big hospital and want to to care her father.

The twins who live in a guest house

Today I want to present the twins (kembar), who live in our guest house for students.

Risma Djumaati (16 years old) and Rismi Djumaati (16 years old).They attend Senior High School for Nursing and are in a level II Smk Baramuli Airmadidi.
They have a house near the sea in Likupang village.
They have another one sister.
Her name is Varia Djumaati, 10 years old and is in a elementary school in a level V
The mother sells nasi kuning /yellow rice in a village and father work for make a building now is in a other island.
They are good at school and they love to study to prepare for a happy future.
When you have a little free time crown at home to help my mother to go into the other house to sell rice yellow.
