New Project: Church becomes a place of play during the week

A few months ago I went to see my friend Meidy pastor of the Pentecostal Church of Makalisung and we talked about a new and innovative project (Church "Gereja" which will be transformed during the week in a meeting place, play and school for children) and we said, we leave and God willing, and will send us his Providence.

The fact is that the work started and we have already completed the skeleton thanks to free labor and materials that gave us now ask to you to support us in this new cutting edge design that makes that a church will also become house and that It goes to cover the Kema area, on the sea, in the village of fishermen Makalisung.

Now to buy bricks, concrete, and complete the church / house making even the toilets it still takes 50 million rupiah (about 3.500 EUR).

Samuel, James and Venda help in Sunflower Association

The companions of Giuseppe Bertinotti give us a hand to continue the work

Work continues in the bathrooms at school

The life of a woodcutter

Jane and Albert are inseparable, have fun with nothing and follow the dad who work as a woodcutter.

Jane 7 years and Albert 3 years old are brothers, their mother died a year ago suffering from cancer and her father is a woodcutter and tries to take care of their children with a really low wages and long hours of work.
In fact, each day starts with his wheelbarrow and free tools of labor and carries with it the children who follow him willingly.
Once I arrived at work inventing something for the children and then starts working.
Today has decided to prepare a small wheelbarrow and Jane and Albert are happy to try this new game.

New bathrooms in the school of Airmadidi

They started the work for the new bathrooms in the school of Airmadidi and we hope that Providence will help us.

Now add this urgent work:
On 22 August 2014 we started the excavation in the school of Airmadidi, to build two other bathrooms for our students.
The total will be 2200 euro, we can only rely on the Providence and hope that someone can give us a hand in order to achieve even this urgent work.
We are happy to share it with all of you who follow us and keep you informed on everything.

Alin loves flowers

Alin Sarempa is a child of our village, she's almost 3 years old and  likes flowers.
Alin born in 17 August 2011 and now Alin will be enter in a little kindergarten.
Have one brother the name is Junimus, 8 years old. and is  in elementary school level IV.
Alin lives in Sarongsong II, Airmadidi with a mother: Agustina Palias.
Mother is a housewife and father: Rommy Sarempa and work for make a stone.
The stone can use for built a new building.

We want to help Margianti

Today I begin to introduce various children on the island of Batang Dua and their family situation.
What you see in the picture is Margianti Bales and his last year of primary school and in her arms was her brother Junior who had already presented.
He has two other brothers, one who attends the eighth grade and another that is not the biggest and he continued his studies in high school and help her mother with the housework and three times a week to work with the father in the fields.
We have taken to heart this little girl and we told the mother that we want to help her continue her studies.

Every Monday, the people of the island of Batang Dua stops throughout the day and offers his time to the church.

It works, singing, smiling and praying.

The family and work

Observing families in Indonesia I 'm realizing that the family is the first place where every children learns the meaning of work.

I learn at least twice :

1 . Seeing her parents work.

2 . Through the "work" that takes place within the family.

On this aspect does not speak much in our western culture if not in reflections negative impact on children labor or slavery, yet it represents a milestone in the development of the boy, growing up knowing the joys and difficulties of human and material of labor within the life family.

Another very positive thing is the involvement of families, staying together and you really feel that families are not alone.

All this from the opportunity to have moments of sharing, joy and help, I think it can also be used to style the western try to stop and think about these simple aspects.

The situation of our church

At this time we all live a delicate situation and we can even find it hard to donate or to reach out to others, because the work becomes less and less, and the money begins to fail, but I'm sure that when we are able to lend a hand to others, give a hand to ourselves. 

We have our church that leaks from the roof and when it rains it is impossible to find for ourselves and celebrate being together. 

We tried to quantify the price of the material (wood, bamboo , nails, sheet metal, iron), and the total is of €3100 $ 4650 for us is a rather high figure, and we're looking for someone who can help us, even if you can‘t, you make sure that those who have the possibility to receive our letter.

It's nice to see, being with children and immerse themselves in their world, discover why so many things that you need every day to live happy then.

In fact, all children are artists, the hard part is to remain so when you grow up.

Children and nature are the jewels of life is for us to keep it that way and give them their proper value and that's why it is a pleasure to work with them because they push you to the simplicity and naturalness.
