Project: we help children to continue the school in Kauditan

Over the years, with the Sunflower Association, we have tried to respond to the many needs of poor people in North Sulawesi in Indonesia and especially children and young people, thanks to distance adoptions and people who have helped us to build a small school and a social fish cooperative.

In a Kauditan's school

The commitment of the Sunflower Association is to stay close to children who decide not to continue the school Second Elementary of Kauditan.

Now our energies are in the family home, which today accommodates 5 children, Debora 11 months, Tasya 12 years, Saprin 12, Frola 14 years old, 9 years .

Day of Smiles for poor children

We would like to arrange to December 12, 2016 an unforgettable day, remembering the first year of the foundation of the free school of small, Paud Bunga Matahari in Airmadidi.

Children are our most precious treasure

If Providence us a hand the idea is to make a lunch with 300 people, 100 of whom are our school children, with competitions for all children.

I thought to football games, to the drawings and in the parade with costumes.

The day we want to start at 8:00 am with the transport bus at all with lots of green that you can see in the video that I put on You Tube.

This day we spend in the Paniki Sports Park, five minutes from Manado.

Lunch at 12:30, and we will follow the awards of all children with the delivery of a T-shirt with the name of the school, return at approximately 16.00

We brought food and school supplies, donated by Claudio di Paco and friends

The 29 August 2016 we received 10,115,712 rupiah, on behalf of Sunflower Association, by Claudio Paco which is selling a CD whose proceeds be donated to the children and the poorest families of the islands in Indonesia.

These days we bought all the material and and 6 September 2016 we went to deliver it, taking pictures and video to witness the joy of the people in Kamenti village receive this help from Italian friends.

We were able to prepare 50 bags spending for families that contained 2 kg of rice, 5 packages of pasta, coffee, tea, sugar, salt, flour.

As for the 50 children in this village, we have prepared bags containing: complete case with pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, 12 crayons, 2 pack of biscuits, 2 cans, 5 notebooks and 3 sketchbook, toothpaste, toothbrush and soap.

Thanks Claudio Di Paco and friends for this project called: "Duets for a hope of children" and thank one by one those who bought this CD and those who plan to buy it.

Distance adoption and savings account for the future of poor children

Some donors have talked to me about the future of these children, who receive aid through distance adoption, and was expected to make a savings account that can be withdrawn from the boys when they turn 18 years old.

The savings book for the future

 To do this we thought of a regulation, to be signed to the parents, to ensure that the money that are given are really important for the future of the child, in addition to thinking for the present with the necessary (milk, rice, clothes, school supplies ).

These are the rules that will be signed by the parents who bring a copy of the identity card and a stamp duty of Rp. 6000.

1. The savings book looks at the future of child living in economically weak and disadvantaged families. 

2. This money comes from donors who work with Sunflower Association and support these guys, not only in the present, but with an eye to the future.

3. The purpose of the savings book thinking about the future is to help child/student to a better future fulfilling some of their little dream and encouraging them to go to school and to do their best.

4. Each month you receive Rp in the booklet. 50.000.- (fifty thousand rupees) until they reach the age of 18. 5.

For all student/child who will be the first class, will receive a bonus of Rp. 100.000.- (one hundred thousand rupees) per month.

6. Child must have the following requirements:

a. weak / economically disadvantaged.

b. Aged 1-18 years

c. Well behaved and diligent at school.

d. Respectful to the donors and the comrades.

7. Sunflower Association continues to monitor the child/student who receive this savings book for the future.

8. This savings book is locked if the following problems arise:

a. School drop or non-regular basis of the school (represented by the school)

b. Parents no longer want your child be part of this program.

c. The parents, siblings or child themselves create problems to the association or to donors.

d. I helped child make problems in a village.

e. The child have been reported missing by the government through a letter.

f. The baby was pronounced dead by the government through a letter.

g. The child and family don't want to be monitored by Sunflower Association.

h. Don't respect the donor visits.

At the age of eighteen years the child will receive the money along with their parents and in the absence thereof to a relative.

This certificate is created and approved by the parents of the child helped/student and come to the aid of a person who has decided to take charge of him through the adoption program at a distance and savings book for the future.

Claudio di Paco duets with many artists for charity

The singer from Livorno, Claudio di Paco, has decided to launch a CD for charity for our poor village of Batang in Indonesia, thanks to all the artists who have given their support to this project and that are brought into play in a series of duets unmissable.

16 April Pegaso Star Organizzazioni Eventi in Livorno helps our association

Saturday 16 April at 21:00, in the Theatre of the Salesians in Livorno, will be held Pegaso Star Music Festival event that came to the fourteenth edition of this national demonstration Edit and Unpublished Songs organized by Pegaso Star Organizzazioni Eventi in Livorno.

14th edition of the National Exhibition 

This event will be hosted by Marco Leonetti, Radio Incontro and will feature 22 emerging singers from all over Italy, interspersed by the choreography of the Studio Live Dance Academy and Costa Etruschi Model Agency.

Each year, this event raised funds to be donated to various associations for cancer research and the various humanitarian organizations like UNICEF this year thank Claudio Tantardini who thought to our reality of Sunflower Association operating for several years in Indonesia and this year began a free schooling for children aged 2 to 5 years.

82 children received uniforms

We have succeeded to make the uniforms for 82 children of kindergarten Paud Bunga Matahari, thanks for help of so many people.

Thanks to the help of Anna, Giusi and Gino di Telgate (4,200,000 rupiah), Anna and Giacomo of Gandosso (350,000 rupiah) and Vittorio and Elena di Telgate (350,000 rupiah); we were able to buy 32 uniforms that were missing for the kindergarten.

These you see in the picture are the latest uniforms that have come and Tuesday, when the school starts again, will deliver to the children and we will thank you in a video.

New Project: Church becomes a place of play during the week

To finish this project of the Church becomes a place of play and school for the kids during the week, it still takes around 3.500 Euro (50 million rupiah), ask for a help also to each of you, in union there is strength.

A little girl, Asmirandah, to help

Help for families affected by the fire

This morning, we went to deliver the gift (Rp. 1.489.000) made by a friend of mine (pasta, rice, sugar, oil, fish, flour) to the two families who lost everything in the fire.

It crashed my heart, see guests of another poor family and hear them told what had happened, kept opening in me the open wound on that sad evening.

It could have the same thing to me, I have been spared, but if I was in their conditions?

A very special thanks to Sara , Gianfranco, Davide and Francesca who contributed to buy, for the new class of kindergarten " Bunga Matahari ", different coloring books and some to learn the alphabet and numbers .

They sent an offer of 459,495 rupee and we immediately called the library to let us have a book for each children.

The project is about to leave and these days we were able to finish even a small outdoor area, which will complete quietly with a few games.

The power of sharing and smiles

The beauty of living and being with Indonesian people, is sharing, the smile which never lacking and that contagious you.

Share lunch with people

Whenever you're in some village, the coming to the table and invite all to eat together becomes a time of celebration (usually leave their guests eat and then if there's anything left divide it between them).

Anyway in any house you enter, you have to willingly accept what you offer is their way to welcome you and take you respect.

And if you're lucky enough to hand them something, it becomes a magical moment and then rush to the village a lot of children that you are reaching out and smile at you.

Too bad sometimes not all have to, but they're happy anyway and share that gift with others.

New Project: school and house for students

Sunflower Association, is active in school for many years and helps the poorest situations, with sponsorships and solidarity tourism.

The project for a new school

For some time you are thinking of expanding our project to reach more young people, creating new classrooms, with bathrooms and building at least two other houses for hospitality students or asrama.

The project includes two masonry structures to make us classrooms and four bathrooms with two adjoining wooden houses with two floors.

All with chairs, tables, blackboards, cabinets, beds, supply of sanitary and electrical systems and a water pump that comes from the well that we dug earlier.

The budget is around 650 million of Indonesian Rupiah (about 47,000 euro).

Enzo Lucente and my godfather Mario and his family helped us to continue work to accommodate family Dedy who lost everything.

Enzo Lucente has sent 429,826 rupiah and my godfather 625,000 rupiah and with this money we finished the extension of the sheet metal roof and we started the coating bead of the rooms.
