Project: we help children to continue the school in Kauditan

Over the years, with the Sunflower Association, we have tried to respond to the many needs of poor people in North Sulawesi in Indonesia and especially children and young people, thanks to distance adoptions and people who have helped us to build a small school and a social fish cooperative.

The commitment of the Sunflower Association is to stay close to children who decide not to continue the school Second Elementary of Kauditan.

Now our energies are in the family home, which today accommodates 5 children, Debora 11 months, Tasya 12 years, Saprin 12, Frola 14 years old, 9 years .

Day of Smiles for poor children

We would like to arrange to December 12, 2016 an unforgettable day, remembering the first year of the foundation of the free school of small, Paud Bunga Matahari in Airmadidi.

Children are our most precious treasure

If Providence us a hand the idea is to make a lunch with 300 people, 100 of whom are our school children, with competitions for all children.

I thought to football games, to the drawings and in the parade with costumes.

This day we spend in the Paniki Sports Park, five minutes from Manado.

We brought food and school supplies, donated by Claudio di Paco and friends

The 29 August 2016 we received 10,115,712 rupiah, on behalf of Sunflower Association, by Claudio Paco which is selling a CD whose proceeds be donated to the children and the poorest families of the islands in Indonesia.

These days we bought all the material and and 6 September 2016 we went to deliver it, taking pictures and video to witness the joy of the people in Kamenti village receive this help from Italian friends.

We were able to prepare 50 bags spending for families that contained 2 kg of rice, 5 packages of pasta, coffee, tea, sugar, salt, flour.

As for the 50 children in this village, we have prepared bags containing: complete case with pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, 12 crayons, 2 pack of biscuits, 2 cans, 5 notebooks and 3 sketchbook, toothpaste, toothbrush and soap.

82 children received uniforms

We have succeeded to make the uniforms for 82 children of kindergarten Paud Bunga Matahari, thanks for help of so many people.

Thanks to the help of Anna, Giusi and Gino di Telgate (4,200,000 rupiah), Anna and Giacomo of Gandosso (350,000 rupiah) and Vittorio and Elena di Telgate (350,000 rupiah); we were able to buy 32 uniforms that were missing for the kindergarten.

These you see in the picture are the latest uniforms that have come and Tuesday, when the school starts again, will deliver to the children and we will thank you in a video.

New Project: Church becomes a place of play during the week

To finish this project of the Church becomes a place of play and school for the kids during the week, it still takes around 3.500 Euro (50 million rupiah), ask for a help also to each of you, in union there is strength.

Sara, Gianfranco, Davide and Francesca buy coloring books for all children

A very special thanks to Sara , Gianfranco, Davide and Francesca who contributed to buy, for the new class of kindergarten " Bunga Matahari ", different coloring books and some to learn the alphabet and numbers .

They sent an offer of 459,495 rupee and we immediately called the library to let us have a book for each children.

The project is about to leave and these days we were able to finish even a small outdoor area, which will complete quietly with a few games.

The power of sharing and smiles

The beauty of living and being with Indonesian people, is sharing, the smile which never lacking and that contagious you.

Share lunch with people

Whenever you're in some village, the coming to the table and invite all to eat together becomes a time of celebration (usually leave their guests eat and then if there's anything left divide it between them).

Anyway in any house you enter, you have to willingly accept what you offer is their way to welcome you and take you respect.

And if you're lucky enough to hand them something, it becomes a magical moment and then rush to the village a lot of children that you are reaching out and smile at you.

Too bad sometimes not all have to, but they're happy anyway and share that gift with others.

Paolo Bellini does a distance adoption of Anglen

Paolo Bellini wanted to make a sponsorship and sent  5.521.100 Rupiah for distance adotion of Anglen Lontoh (1 year and 8 months) that has a sister named Angela (4 years).

Dad is Hentra (26 years old) is a skilled mason, but does anything to support the family and living in the home of their parents, she is married to Anita Rakafifi (24 years old) who stays at home to care for their children.

They are a very young family and always available to everyone, every time you meet them they provide a great positive energy.

Enzo Lucente and my godfather Mario send aid to continue work

Enzo Lucente and my godfather Mario and his family helped us to continue work to accommodate family Dedy who lost everything.

Enzo Lucente has sent 429,826 rupiah and my godfather 625,000 rupiah and with this money we finished the extension of the sheet metal roof and we started the coating bead of the rooms.

I like to occasionally stop, to photograph the children, while helping and themselves busy.

Work continues for family accommodation

Dony Marchetti does not leave us alone and continues to help in the project that we started for the arrangement of the house in the Sunflower Association for the family of Dedy.

A new computer for Sunflower Association

The day is spent yesterday, tomorrow is yet to come and we have only today.

In this day Mr. Anselmo Dentella, after he knew that we had broken the computer immediately responded by sending the money to buy it again and so we can continue to tell and bring our experience of the poor in Indonesia.

Now you all know that the project is that for accomodaton a family of Dedy and we are still missing about 900 euro and will continue to update.

Thanks, to all those who support us and we are close, to supporting our projects and taking care of so many children and their families and as you can see there are many initiatives that we have achieved thanks to you.

Now we are carrying out a new job, at the headquarters of Sunflower Association, to settle a family who lost land and the house, after being in debt to the serious illness of their son.

Ms. Bibiana Alfaro and Dony Marchetti and their respective families have helped us to start this project by donating 1,398,800 rupiah and an estimate for these works is 13,800,000 rupiah (about 980 euro) and includes the woodwork for the construction, two beds, a wardrobe and the cooker.

Italian friend has done gifts to the little children Neva

A friend contacted me privately on facebook and told me that he wanted to be close to us at this time is not too good, and gave us the gift of 703,000 rupiah.

As soon as we heard this news we immediately moved to go and buy food, clothes and to be able to help a family.

At the supermarket we bought milk, coffee, sugar, salt, flour, eggs, bottled water, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, while the traditional market we took chicken, fish and rice, and at a shop in the town of clothes for younger children.

A lady of Bergamo helps the family of Rico

A lady of Bergamo, who wanted to remain anonymous, has sent an offer of 872.400 rupiah to help some poor situation.

We chose a family that has a small house (the owner of the field has given him since his father worked as a farmer), made with some wooden board, in the middle of rice fields.

The father is Meki Mentang worked as a farmer and a mother: Selvy Mait is a housewives, they have two children: Rico 11 years and Kasih 11 months.

Rico attended the fourth year of primary school and when we saw coming was really happy, it was the first time he received a gift, and the mother took the material and told the children, I prepare a cake.

For this family we were able to buy with this offer: 5 kg of rice, 2 liters of milk, milk for the little girl, a dress and a pair of shoes for the two sons, 5 liters of oil, coffee, butter, flour, 24 eggs, salt, sugar, soap, 10 notebooks, markers and pens.

Thanks to all those who have helped in 2014

One thing is certain in 2014 many people have supported us in our initiatives to help those who make the most effort and lives in poverty or was hit by disasters and fails to start, having lost everything.

Children are happy

I thank all the people who contributed to the school bathrooms that are nearing completion, to those who have helped many children by giving them the need to study and live, my sister Romina and her family that supports me every month and gives me the necessary to live and to continue my experience here, to my family and my uncle Gabriele and aunt Luisa that gave us the washing machine and who prayed because only with the support that comes from all of this was possible.

This Christmas we were able to go and bring a small gift to 259 children in the villages of Tumbak, Makalisung, Kema, Mangked Airmadidi and, thanks to Serena Tucci who sent seven packages with so much material, Sara Frau who sent the money to take the candy and the suit of Santa Claus, Barbara Burroni and Roberto who sent us the money for other candy and to buy the paper to make gifts, Paolo Bellini who supported us for the transport and continues helped the little Agliano and Carla Bottini who sent money for the flowers to our little angel in heaven, Edy and supported the family with material aid (rice, fish, milk, flour, eggs, butter, salt).
