We brought food and school supplies, donated by Claudio di Paco and friends

The 29 August 2016 we received 10,115,712 rupiah, on behalf of Sunflower Association, by Claudio Paco which is selling a CD whose proceeds be donated to the children and the poorest families of the islands in Indonesia.

These days we bought all the material and and 6 September 2016 we went to deliver it, taking pictures and video to witness the joy of the people in Kamenti village receive this help from Italian friends.

We were able to prepare 50 bags spending for families that contained 2 kg of rice, 5 packages of pasta, coffee, tea, sugar, salt, flour.

As for the 50 children in this village, we have prepared bags containing: complete case with pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, 12 crayons, 2 pack of biscuits, 2 cans, 5 notebooks and 3 sketchbook, toothpaste, toothbrush and soap.

Thanks Claudio Di Paco and friends for this project called: "Duets for a hope of children" and thank one by one those who bought this CD and those who plan to buy it.

Help for families affected by the fire

This morning, we went to deliver the gift (Rp. 1.489.000) made by a friend of mine (pasta, rice, sugar, oil, fish, flour) to the two families who lost everything in the fire.

It crashed my heart, see guests of another poor family and hear them told what had happened, kept opening in me the open wound on that sad evening.

It could have the same thing to me, I have been spared, but if I was in their conditions?

Poor families!!!

Yet they do not lose hope, the smile and the will to fight.

I am here and I will be close and I hope soon to be able to help more.

Enzo Lucente and my godfather Mario send aid to continue work

Enzo Lucente and my godfather Mario and his family helped us to continue work to accommodate family Dedy who lost everything. 

Arrangement of scale

Enzo Lucente has sent 429,826 rupiah and my godfather 625,000 rupiah and with this money we finished the extension of the sheet metal roof and we started the coating bead of the rooms.

Now lacking 6,223,774 rupiah (about 440 euro) to complete our project and also thank all for closeness and support.

Thanks to Mrs. Gloria Benini who sent yet, from the sale of the book to charity, 2,141,057 rupiah.

We bought six children in TEEP the material needed for school:
Backpack
Complete box of crayons, pencils, pens, eraser and sharpener
10 Notebooks
A sketchbook
A packet of sweets and a little game.

Finally we left their families 50,000 rupiah to buy rice.
We have a good day, laughing, playing and singing near the sea.

Work continues for family accommodation

Dony Marchetti does not leave us alone and continues to help in the project that we started for the arrangement of the house in the Sunflower Association for the family of Dedy.

He has sent another offer of 1,271,400 that there are served to put the water pump and the pipe going in bathrooms.

Now we lack 11,778,600 rupiah, Providence continues to be near us and to support the families and the poorest children and I have to note is that we can continue the work thanks to a friend of mine from Bergamo who sent us 4,500,000 and in a few days i'll show you the results we are getting.

We begin to see something and there are only 7,278,600 (about 500 euro).

A new computer for Sunflower Association

The day is spent yesterday, tomorrow is yet to come and we have only today.
If we help the people who are close to being what it should be today, will have the courage to deal with life, in every moment, with greater love.

I'm happy because so many people over the years have not left us alone, but they helped, supported and shared all our projects, have taken charge of children and families and contnuano inform themselves and to pray for us.

In this day Mr. Anselmo Dentella, after he knew that we had broken the computer immediately responded by sending the money to buy it again and so we can continue to tell and bring our experience of the poor in Indonesia.

Now you all know that the project is that for accomodaton a family of Dedy and we are still missing about 900 euro and will continue to update.

We give accommodation to the family of Dedy

Thanks, to all those who support us and we are close, to supporting our projects and taking care of so many children and their families and as you can see there are many initiatives that we have achieved thanks to you.

Now we are carrying out a new job, at the headquarters of Sunflower Association, to settle a family who lost land and the house, after being in debt to the serious illness of their son.

Ms. Bibiana Alfaro and Dony Marchetti and their respective families have helped us to start this project by donating 1,398,800 rupiah and an estimate for these works is 13,800,000 rupiah (about 980 euro) and includes the woodwork for the construction, two beds, a wardrobe and the cooker.

Rafi and Lionel helped by families of Bibiana and Dony

The families of Dony and Bibiana have again sent an offer to Sunflower Association telling us that he cares about our situation and want to be close to the poorest families in need.

They sent 1.307.000 rupiah that we used for the family of Rafi age 10 months and Lionel age 7 months, both are very cheerful and lively.

We bought them for two dresses and two bottles, oil, rice, milk, salt, sugar, vinegar, coffee, white flour, eggs and we did put in their house mosquito nets to protect them from mosquito with the virus of Dengue.

Three families have been helped by Paolo Curti

We are happy because there are so many people around, helping with offerings and prayers and asking continuously news on our delicate situation right now.

Her husband died in an accident at sea

Paolo Curti there continues to be close and still sent an offer to Sunflower Association that we immediately used to help other families in this period not happy with several misfortunes that hit our area.

We succeeded with this money to help three families with clothing and basic necessities: milk and rice and school supplies and personal hygiene of children and we did put in their homes of mosquito nets to protect themselves from the problem of Dengue mosquito.

Two families make an act of solidarity

These days the families of Bibiana Alfaro and Dony Marchetti called me telling me that they would send an offer for families affected by the recent disasters and arrived 1.4258 million rupiah.

The families come together to receive the boxes with clothes

As soon as we heard this news we immediately moved to go and buy food, clothes and to be able to help a family.

At the supermarket we bought milk, coffee, sugar, salt, flour, eggs, bottled water, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, while the traditional market we took chicken, fish and rice, and at a shop in the town of clothes for younger children.

I show you the time of delivery and the joy in the heart of this family, a big thank you to you for this gesture of solidarity.

A project realized by the children

Sekly, David, Steven, Stella, Febry, Aten, Raja

The ones you see in the picture from left to right are a group of children in our village in Airmadidi which together help to do the household chores, to help their families are very poor and they are: Sekly, David, Steven, Stella, Febry, Aten, Raja.
The initiative is started from Raja that involved his friends in this unique project, which sees them all involved and happy to be able to do something and get their little reward.
How many things do a children because looking we adults and is nice to see them with a smile and with determination and with a really big heart.

The family and work

Observing families in Indonesia I 'm realizing that the family is the first place where every children learns the meaning of work.

I learn at least twice :

1 . Seeing her parents work.

2 . Through the "work" that takes place within the family.

On this aspect does not speak much in our western culture if not in reflections negative impact on children labor or slavery, yet it represents a milestone in the development of the boy, growing up knowing the joys and difficulties of human and material of labor within the life family.

Another very positive thing is the involvement of families, staying together and you really feel that families are not alone.

There is, first of all a community of reference and then a civil and political society.

All this from the opportunity to have moments of sharing, joy and help, I think it can also be used to style the western try to stop and think about these simple aspects.
