New Project: school and house for students

Sunflower Association, is active in school for many years and helps the poorest situations, with sponsorships and solidarity tourism.

The project for a new school

For some time you are thinking of expanding our project to reach more young people, creating new classrooms, with bathrooms and building at least two other houses for hospitality students or asrama.

The project includes two masonry structures to make us classrooms and four bathrooms with two adjoining wooden houses with two floors.

All with chairs, tables, blackboards, cabinets, beds, supply of sanitary and electrical systems and a water pump that comes from the well that we dug earlier.

The budget is around 650 million of Indonesian Rupiah (about 47,000 euro).

The companions of Giuseppe Bertinotti give us a hand to continue the work

An offer really significant 9.089.000 rupiah (EUR 610) was sent by the companions of the III B of the Salesians of Milan.

Work continues in the bathrooms

The friends of Giuseppe Bertinotti, a man who always gave my best for the kids and the school and left a great void in everyone who met him with this offer and wanted to continue his work to the students.

New bathrooms in the school of Airmadidi

They started the work for the new bathrooms in the school of Airmadidi and we hope that Providence will help us.

They started the excavations

Many projects the  Sunflower Association has in a mind and several help arrived for our students as you have seen in the posts that we put.

Now add this urgent work:
On 22 August 2014 we started the excavation in the school of Airmadidi, to build two other bathrooms for our students.
The total will be 2200 euro, we can only rely on the Providence and hope that someone can give us a hand in order to achieve even this urgent work.
We are happy to share it with all of you who follow us and keep you informed on everything.

A piece of the wall is fallen

Really starts to be a truly great, including the construction of the school and the guest house for students in Airmadidi there is always some urgent work to do.
In fact, it happens that fall of the wall pieces, as you can see from the picture, or you have to paint or repair metal roofs because when there is strong wind that often yield the nails.
Meanwhile, the students are increasing in number and this makes us really happy to say that the work we are doing is giving its first results.
We thank Providence for the many things that gives us every day.

Anggraeni and Lestari in a guest house

These are the two new students entered our guest house, because they have a really problematic situation and the family cannot support them in their studies and now I present them:

Anggraeni Surpriadi. 18 years old now is a student in Baramuli Nursing Akademi (Akper Baramuli Airmadidi).
She has one Brother, his name is Andika 20 years old, student in a college and one sister, her name is Dava, 8 years old, is student in elementary school level IV.
In the past papa worked for built a new building but now he stay in the house because no have a project. Mother is a housewife.
Her name is Esther Navo and father is: Supriadi.

Anggraeni in a bedroom

Anggraeni wants to be a good nurse, this is a simple idea.
The other student is Lestari Tatambi, 19 years old and start ensamble in Baramuli Nursing Akademi (Akper Baramuli Airmadidi).
She has one brother.
His name is Kiki. 15 years old is studying in Yunior High School, level II.
Mother is Marlin Limonto and father is Tonny Tatambi.
In the past papa worked as a fisherman, but now father is sick and can stay only in the house.
Mother is a housewife.
Lestari wants to work in a big hospital and want to to care her father.

The providence is there and every day we see the signs.
We thank Mr. Stefano Dentella of Aviatico and his family for sending us 5,200,000 rupiah that we used to help a family in Airmadidi giving him rice and milk for his children Cheril and our students Risma that the association helps to study and to continue the studies supporting the family.
We brought Risma in Manado and she chose the material she needed for school and a new outfit and has has taken rice, fish and a little spending for she and her twin sister.

The twins who live in a guest house

Today I want to present the twins (kembar), who live in our guest house for students.

Risma Djumaati (16 years old) and Rismi Djumaati (16 years old).They attend Senior High School for Nursing and are in a level II Smk Baramuli Airmadidi.
They have a house near the sea in Likupang village.
They have another one sister.
Her name is Varia Djumaati, 10 years old and is in a elementary school in a level V
The mother sells nasi kuning /yellow rice in a village and father work for make a building now is in a other island.
They are good at school and they love to study to prepare for a happy future.
When you have a little free time crown at home to help my mother to go into the other house to sell rice yellow.

The birthday of a student

Today is the birthday of one of our students and I prepared this reflection.

 What really matters when you are celebrating your birthday.

Matter that there are real friends, the ones that do not make you the best gift, but remember you even when you're sick.

Import love, give everything and keep if only for the desire to change the world.

Import the family that you remember, supports you and will never leave you alone.

Imports have the opportunity every day to dreams and live their dreams because they live or will be realized.

The important is not always stop and have a clear objective to reach, always fight for the ideals without fear of obstacles that must be addressed.

Just a teacher

Just a teacher to make a difference, but we want it to do.

The boys even today, maybe after some time, they recognize when a teacher has done something for him, even if it happens that we may never know.

And that's the beauty of our work: do it selflessly, without expecting any recognition.

Today I propose a reflection of our students on the theme of friendship.
People who love you do not need to hear it all the time, to tell them all the time.
Are not these the things that really matter, what matters is that they show him.
What matters is that there are and you can feel their presence.
A presence that gives you the chance to enjoy the feeling of friendship that few know how to enjoy and live to the fullest.

VISION
1. Many students who want to go to college but no costs.

MISSION
1. Helping student who are not able to go to the university / college.
2. Helping the needs of child, start from school costs, stationery, then, rental house, etc.
 
Regulations for students:
1. The student must be serious to school.
2. Students must have a statement about not being able to continue their study.
3. Funds from donors are paid directly into the account of the Sunflower Association. 
The funding includes school costs, school stationery, etc..
4. Request from the student costs to the Foundation, must be asked based Draft Needs.
5. Students have to take time to meet with donors who helped them, when donors come to Indonesia.
